Key Technical Features
- Full 4K Ecosystem Support: Unlike lower models, the CRS05-B provides end-to-end 4K resolution from initial capture and encoding to final recording and output. This ensures that even the smallest text on a 4K presentation slide remains legible in the archive.
- Integrated 2-Inch LCD Status Display: The front panel features a high-density color LCD that provides instant visual feedback on recording status, channel activity, network IP, storage capacity, and audio levels without needing an external monitor.
- 5-Channel Multi-Source Capture: Specifically engineered to manage complex room layouts. It can simultaneously record:
- Camera 1: Main Speaker/Teacher
- Camera 2: Wide-angle Audience/Students
- Camera 3: Secondary Speaker or Lab/Evidence Camera
- Input 4 & 5: Dual PC/Laptop Presentations or Document Cameras
- Seamless Scaler Switching: Functions as a 6×1+1 seamless scaler switcher. It handles different input resolutions and frame rates, scaling them instantly to a unified 1080p or 4K output for the live stream and local displays without flicker or black screens.
- AV Bridge Integration: Features an integrated USB-OTG/USB 3.0 bridge that allows you to bring the high-definition composite video and audio directly into PC-based software like Zoom, Microsoft Teams, or Skype as a standard webcam source.

Key Functional Highlights
- Autonomous Director Logic: When working with the JAD-DCP2000 Controller, the CRS05-B acts as an “AI Director.” It automatically switches between the 5 inputs based on microphone activity and pre-defined scripts, ensuring the final video looks professionally edited without a human operator.
- Live Broadcast Engine: Supports simultaneous streaming to local LAN or public Ethernet via RTMP/RTSP. It can push different layouts to different platforms, such as a “Picture-in-Picture” view for YouTube and a full-screen presentation view for a private CDN.
- Scene Layout Customization: Users can choose from multiple pre-set layout patterns (Side-by-Side, Overlay, 1+3 Grid, etc.) or create custom “Program Modes” through the PC management software.
- Visualized Remote Management: The server includes a robust Web-GUI that allows technicians to manage the recording, monitor live thumbnails of all 5 channels, and control PTZ cameras remotely from any authorized device on the network.
- Image Freeze Function: Features an adjustable “Freeze” capability (0.5 to 6 seconds) to ensure that transitions between sources are smooth and aesthetically pleasing, hiding the initial movement of a camera as it pans to a new speaker.
System Role & Implementation
The JAD-CRS05-B is the ultimate convergence point for the JAD ecosystem. It takes the Audio from the conference system, the Visuals from CDC-H PTZ Cameras, and the Data from the Paperless Media System, merging them into a single, high-fidelity digital record.
